(2) Meeting the ISO 13485 Standard for Medical Device Quality Management

The Yasuda Logistics Group is targeting the medical device industry as a significant growth market. For this reason, some Group worksites have acquired ISO 13485 certification, the international standard for medical device quality management systems. Compliance with the ISO 13485 standard is required under medical device-related laws and regulations in many countries, including Japan following revisions of the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law, specifically the QMS Ordinance (Ministerial Ordinance on Standards for Manufacturing Control and Quality Control for Medical Devices and In-Vitro Diagnostics).

Providing Business-Driven Solutions

Operating primarily in Japan’s two most populated areas, greater Tokyo and the Kansai region, Yasuda Logistics has been helping customers make their logistics more efficient since being founded in 1919. In addition to warehousing and logistics services, the Company provides other solutions to customers, such as the customization of precision equipment and streamlining operational processes. Drawing on our creativity and ability to think outside the box, Yasuda Logistics can immediately respond to customers’ requests with a full range of high-quality logistics services.

Yasuda Logistics has also operated in the real estate industry since being founded, developing office and condominium buildings, mainly in Tokyo and Yokohama. When buildings must be replaced or renovated, the Company redevelops the sites while fully considering the surrounding urban environment.

(2) Initiatives for improving our business operations

The Yasuda Logistics Group has set up a system for rewarding improvements to our business operations, covering all organizations and employees of the Group. The system motivates employees to improve operations at every worksite based on their own proposals, with outstanding initiatives selected and rewarded twice a year. In this way, the system encourages original initiatives and a spirit of analysis, improving quality, and operating efficiencies, while raising customer satisfaction.
